Product Overview

Double Parallel Trolley Ship Building Gantry Crane (Abbr. DPT) is a special lifting device in ship building dock site. DPT is offen with large tonnage in capacity and used in lifting huge structure of main hull. YUNTIAN can manufacture DPT cranes form 50t+50t to 900t+900t in capacity. DPT’s trolleys can lifting hull structures separately or cooperately.The distance of hooks of the two trolley can easily adjust in working. It's adjustable manner make it lifting efficently.


a. Gantry structure

DPT’s gantry structure consist of double box main girder, A frame flexible leg, A frame or I frame rigid leg and spring bearing joint. The main 

girder is common welding structure of High strength low alloy structural steel Q345 with yild strength 345Mpa (refer to GB/T1591-2006). Q345 

is widely used in crane structure,for its obvious advantages in ecnomic along such high strength low alloy structural steels.The spring bearing 

joint connect the main girder and the flexible leg. The main girder can free expand on a neoprene bearing to avoid rail gnawing.


b. Trolley

The trolley consist of trolley structure, hoisting mechanism, trolley travelling mechanism and safety system.Trolley structure is a welding structure

of Carbon structural steel Q235 with yield strength 235Mpa or Q345. A limit switch was mounted on the trolley to limit the trolley travel distance.

Buffers was mounted on the two end of the trolley to avoid demage when crash occur.


c. Hoisting Mechanism

DPT’s Hoisting Mechanism consist of frequency conversion motor,coupling,brake, reducer, drum coupling,drum and wirerope system. The motor

commonly used Jamusi’s or Dalian’s frequency conversion motor.The brake use chinese top brand Jingu or Huawu.The Reducer is hardened 

gear reducer. The drum use Q345 steel and the diameter ratio is greater than 18. The wirerope use Nantong or Guizhou wirerope with 18x7 

structure, and it’s tensile strength is 1670Mpa.The Pulley is hot rolled pulley or welding pulley with diameter ratio greater than 20. The hoisting 

Mechanism has been setted with overload switch and overspeed protection switch.


d. Trolley travel system

DPT’s trolley travel system consist of motor, coupling, brake, hollow shaft reducer and bogies.Buffers mounted on the two ends of the trolley. 

Limit switches are mounted on one side of the trolley to avoid demage.Wheel block is always Right angle bearing box or Split bearing box. The 

right angle bearing box is the traditional type with widely praised. The split bearing box is advanced design type with advantages of easily 

assembly and maintenance. The wheel casted and machined with ZG50SiMn. The wheel has double wheel rims. The wheel rim has enough 

strength to avoid the trolley deviation travel.


e. Gantry travel mechanism

DPT’s Gantry travel mechanism consist of bogies and triad reducers.Commonly the driven bogies are half of all bogies. The triad reducer 

mounted on the driven bogies. On the idle bogie there is mounted Wheel clamp or anti-wind shoes.Optional rail clamps are mounted under sill 

beam to instead wheel clamp. All these safety devices interlock with anemograph.On the end bogie there is rail clearer to clear blocks 

unexpected on the rail.There is also mounted rectifying wheel on the end bogie to avoid crook run. A lightning shoe mounted on the end bogie 

to conduct the lightning power to the earth.


Packing & Delivery

1. Electrical parts and hoist are packed by strong plywood box, to prevent the rain soaked. 

2. Main beam, end beam, platform railing and others are packed in plastic woven cloth, to prevent corrosion in seawater.
